Cornhole Tournament Coming to Field of Dreams Movie Site – Mix 94.7 KMCH

DYERSVILLE, Iowa – Go the Distance Baseball and The Field of Dreams Movie Site host the
The American Cornhole Organization’s First-Ever Go The Distance Festival August 26-28, 2022.

“We are truly delighted to host this inaugural event. The beauty of the film site is that it is so much more
than a baseball field, and this event is part of our effort to welcome those who are not
necessarily passionate about baseball. Our attraction is fun for the whole family and all ages, baseball
fans or not,” says Roman Weinberg, COO of Go the Distance Baseball, LLC, the entity
who owns the Field of Dreams movie site. “Cornhole is extremely popular throughout Iowa and
Midwest, and having the ability to present a healthy game, in addition to baseball, which brings
people together is an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.

The Go the Distance Festival is a three-day cornhole event featuring singles and doubles competitions;
The Corny 40 Classic and the Dream Team Invitational. Friday and Saturday will feature four doubles
Qualifying tournaments, with the top six teams from each qualifier qualifying for Sunday’s final bracket.

These qualifiers are all open to the public for participation. On Sunday, the advancing teams will face each other
against the ACO “Corny 40”, the top 40 ranked ACO players of Season 17 in the world, and their
respectively selected partners. The tournament has a total prize money attached to the event of $25,000, with the
the top 64 teams are all guaranteed to walk away with cash prizes. The winning team will win a sum of money
award and a specially designed commemorative trophy.

Plus, on Saturday, the “Corny 40” ACOs will face off in an exclusive Singles
tournament to win a cash prize as well as the “Kinsella Family Experience”, the ultimate field of dreams
Movie Site package including an overnight stay on the farm, guided tours inside the house, a movie
site clothing, and more!

The 32 cornhole courts will be set up in a specially created “tailgate area” dominated by a hospitality
observation deck at the Field of Dreams movie site, featuring the exclusive ACO Corny 40 Classic Singles
tournament on Saturday and league matches on Sunday held in the newly refurbished event
Center on the property. Team registration is now open to the public for qualifying tournaments on
