High School Musical Show confirms the return of a more original film cast for season 4
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series confirmed that other original franchise stars will return for the show’s next season.
Returning for the upcoming season, Monique Coleman, Alyson Reed and Bart Johnson (via Deadline). They will join East High School alumni Corbin Bleu, Kaycee Stroh and Lucas Grabeel, who will also be returning for the upcoming season.
musical high school fans had long speculated who would return to the series after it was announced that the upcoming storyline for season four involved the school becoming the location of the High School Musical 4: Reunion film.

The synopsis for Season 4 reads: “After an epic summer at Camp Shallow Lake, the Wildcats return to East High where they stage a staging of High School Musical 3: secondary year.
“But plans are disrupted when Principal Gutierrez announces that Disney has decided to do the highly anticipated High School Musical 4: Reunion film on location at their beloved high school. Blue, along with Coleman, Grabeel, Johnson, Reed, and Stroh will play themselves, resurrecting their musical high school roles of Chad Danforth, Taylor McKessie, Ryan Evans, Coach Jack Bolton, Ms. Darbus and Martha Cox, respectively.
The season will also feature several songs from the musical high school franchise alongside the original music.

Disney has yet to announce a release date for Season 4. Olivia Rodrigo, who said goodbye to her character Nini Salazar-Roberts in the final finale, will not be returning for the upcoming season.
After balancing his role on the show with a successful music career, actor-turned-singer Rodrigo has called it quits after being a main character on the show since 2019.
