Teen Wolf: The cast of the film misses Dylan O’Brien, Tyler Hoechlin
We know the Paramount+ Teen Wolf revival movie since September 2021, but we haven’t had many details so far except that it will be set several years after the MTV Entertainment TV series; that show creator Jeff Davis is involved; and that Tyler Posey will return as Scott McCall, a werewolf who is no longer a teenager.
We now have more casting news, thanks to today’s action-packed ViacomCBS Investors event. Among all Star Trek, Transformersand TMNT headlines, Paramount+ has also released a cast list for Teen Wolf: The Movie which includes many household names from the series that ran for six seasons on MTV.
In addition to Posey, Holland Roden (Lydia Martin), Shelley Hennig (Malia), Crystal Reed (Allison Argent), Orny Adams (Coach Bobby Finstock), Linden Ashby (Sheriff Noah Stilinski), JR Bourne (Chris Argent), Seth Gilliam (Dr. Alan Deaton), Colton Haynes (Jackson Whittemore), Ryan Kelley (Deputy Jordan Parrish), Melissa Ponzio (Melissa McCall) and Dylan Sprayberry (Liam Dunbar) will all make appearances in the film.
It’s a long list, but it doesn’t include some important cast members from the show. Dylan O’Brien (Stiles), for example, isn’t on the list, along with Arden Cho (Kira) and Tyler Hoechlin (Derek), who currently plays Clark Kent/Superman on The CW’s Superman and Lois.
This cast list isn’t complete or final, of course, and omitted actors may still make an appearance in the next film or be announced closer to the film’s release date, which will be later this year. And while we patiently wait for more fun times with banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, and kitsunes, we can relive Scott’s high school days by watching the original series on Paramount+.
