DYERSVILLE — There’s more than baseball happening at the Field of Dreams movie site next summer. From August 26-28, 2022, the site will host the American Cornhole Organization’s first-ever Go The Distance festival.

“We are truly delighted to host this inaugural event. The beauty of the film site is that it is so much more than a baseball field, and this event is part of our efforts to welcome those who are not necessarily baseball enthusiasts to our site. Our attraction is fun for the whole family and for all ages, baseball fans or not,” said Roman Weinberg, COO of Go the Distance Baseball, LLC, the entity that owns the Field of Dreams movie site. “Cornhole is hugely popular throughout Iowa and the Midwest, and having the opportunity to showcase a healthy game, in addition to baseball, that brings people together is an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.”
